Ratings: not much happens with the syndies

The October 26-November 1 week was frankly boring for syndie game show ratings. Millionaire got a tiny bit of good news, after a rough season so far. Otherwise, the numbers barely budged. TV News Check yawns through the household ratings...

Wheel of Fortune 6.6 - flat
Family Feud 6.3 - down a tick but keeps second place
Jeopardy 6.2 - flat
Millionaire 1.3 - up a tick to a season high and Chris will take any good news he can get
Celebrity Name Game 1.2 - flat

GSN knew what they were doing when they set the return of The Chase on Friday, November 6. The broadcast competition is weak on Friday, and the show scored a whopping 695K total viewers. The Chase doesn't skew very young, but the overall audience was so large that the show still got 186K viewers in the Sacred Demo.

UPDATE: The big numbers for The Chase helped GSN's weekly averages, according to TV Newser. 392K/315K/427K viewers prime time/total day/extended prime time for the November 2-8 week. Unfortunately, Hellevator is tanking in the ratings, hitting a very poor 215K total viewers and a mediocre 0.07 18-49 rating for the latest November 11 run.
